Produced by the world renowned Barrington Theatre Company, the new musical comedy is based on the 1927 play The Royal Family by iconic American writer George S. Kaufman and novelist Edna Ferber, which is in turn is loosely based on the Barrymore family acting dynasty, here the Cavendish clan. Amidst the gin-soaked streets of the prohibition era, the family brings together a formidable matriarch, a narcissistic leading man, an established star looking for love and a promising new talent. As they're lives entangle amidst many song-and-dance numbers, they must make career and life-defining decisions with far-reaching consequences.
